Isabelle Uski

French dancer, teacher and performer based in Grenoble (Alps), fascinated with the human body, its life force and its communicative means. She discovered CI in 1999 and was right away awed by its artistic, physical, social and philosophical wonders. Later, she investigated the issue of Touch in CI for a Master's thesis in Dance.
Training with masters such as Steve Paxton Nancy Stark Smith, Lisa Nelson, Kirstie Simson, Andrew Harwood, as well as practicing Authentic Movement, Yoga or Qi Gong or studying Voice, Laban-Bartenieff or BMC had a big influence on her movement, improvisation and CI practice. She has been involved in various performance and research projects notably with Joe Stoller, Emilie Borgo, the collective CI in Paris, the voice quintet Dites 33, and more punctually with Didier Silhol, Patricia Kuypers, the Tumblebones Dance collective, Michael Kurtzman Schachrur.. and others.
Since 2002, she has been teaching in various structures, including companies, Universities, International meetings or festivals, in Grenoble, in France and occasionally elsewhere in EU, USA or South America.
She develops CI in Grenoble with Chorescence (www.chorescence.org)
