Sara Simeoni

In 1996 she graduated from the National Academy of Dance in Rome. She attended seminars in Italy and abroad studying with Susanne Linke, Wim Vandekeybus, David Zambrano, Carolyn Carlson, Giorgio Rossi, Monica Francia, Jeremy Nelson, Ivan Wolf. In 2002 she attended the Isola Danza Academy in Venice directed by Carolyn Carlson. In 2007 she attended an intensive course, Choreographic Collision, organized by the FNASD in collaboration with the Dance Biennial in Venice directed by Ismael Ivo.
In recent years she as dancer and interpreter she has worked with the Italian companies of Giuseppina von Binghen, Tery Weikel, Naturalis Labor, Mario Piazza, Alessandra Palma di Cesnola, and the foreign companies Tanz Atelier Wien, Irene K., Art Mouv.
Since 2005 she has been working with the Centre Coreographique National de Roubaix directed by Carolyn Carlson, participating in the creation of the performance Inanna directed by Carolyn Carlson. In 2007 she began her collaboration with Giorgio Rossi participating in the performance of Rami Come Quando Fuori Piove.
Her choreographies: in 2004 she created the solo pulsEmotion chosen and presented at the 9° Internationales Solo-Tanz-Theather Festival Stuttgart, at the Nat Lab Factory Salone CRT Milan, at the festival A Piede Libero Mogliano Veneto 2005 and at the festival of Nuova Danza Insoliti Torino 2006.
In 2006 she created Piani(in)Visibili chosen and presented at: 10.Festival Koreografskihminijatura Belgrade, Segnali all'orizzonte in Padua, Lavori in Pelle 06 directed by Monica Francia and at the Rassegna Teatro Ragazzi Cattive Compagnie organized in collaboration with the theater La Piccionaia - I Carrara and the Theater delle Maddalene in Padua.
She has also worked with the Cuban painter Alfredo Sosabravo creating the video “El signo sobra la piel” for his one-man show in Treviso.
In 2004 she worked with the Austrian photographer Andreas H. Bitesnich for his one-man show “Form And Tension” presented at the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe (Hamburg), Museum KunstHaus (Vienna), Modernbook Gallery 494 Palo Alto (California).
