Marko Timlin

Lives and works in Helsinki.
Nationality: Finish and German.
Is a composer, musician, sound artist, and performer.
During the last years he has developed further his main musical and artistic goal: the intuitive improvisation and interaction with digital media.
He invents his own virtual and analogue instruments to realize his artistic ideas live in concert.
Timlin also gives lectures about electronic music and real-time interaction with digital media.
1996-1998 Study of Jazz drums at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar.
Since 2005 Study of Music Technology at the Centre for Music&Technology, Sibelius Akatemia, Helsinki
September 2007 Laru07-international environmental art project - mechanical sound installation exhibited one month outdoors in nature at the coastline of Lautasaari.
May 2007 Theatre production Relativity with dancer Giorgio Convertito (dance), Egle Oddo (visual art), and Marko Timlin (sound performance) at Universum teatteri, Helsinki
